The 100th family has moved into the growing community at Wintringham, St Neots

Wintringham, which forms part of a new eastern expansion to St Neots, recently welcomed its 100th family to the growing new community.

Kirsty and Adrian Bell and their two young children upgraded from a compact three-bed property in St Neots to one of our spacious four bedroom semi-detached homes at Cala at Wintringham.

Nestled in the Cambridgeshire countryside, a short walk from St Neots’ town centre and a 45 minutes train ride to London, Wintringham is a thriving, connected community with wellbeing at its core.

Kirsty said: “After working in London for many years, Adrian and I chose to relocate out of the city and into the countryside. St Neots offered the perfect opportunity to buy somewhere more affordable than the capital, but with fast connections into London as and when we needed it.”

When they were searching for their new home, they looked around Wintringham and fell in love with the place and a four bedroom Cala home that suited their needs perfectly.

Kirsty said: “There is a strong feeling of community across Wintringham. With the street food events at the school plaza and farmer’s market in St Neots on most Saturdays - there’s always something to do.

“For the kids, there’s a park just down the road from us with a lovely picnic area and they can’t wait to go out and explore on weekends. We go for walks around the green spaces and the two of them just run around for hours; rolling down hills and chasing each other whilst we sit on the green.

“Our son goes to Wintringham Primary Academy, which is based in an inspiring modern building with plenty of natural daylight and opportunities for outdoor learning. There’s only a small number of students at the moment, so it’s great he won’t get lost going to a bigger school.

“We can’t wait for all our neighbours to move in and to see the development flourish over the summer!”

After speaking to our sales team, the couple opted for the Tilbrook - a four-bedroom semi-detached home with garage. They reserved the plot and moved into their new home a couple of months later.

Rachel Arnold, Communications, Communities and Partnerships for Urban&Civic said: “It’s great to reach this milestone for the development and we’re so pleased to welcome the Bell family. The Community team work hard to ensure all families moving in have what they need and settle in well, and we have some great events over the summer to help them meet their new neighbours.

“It’s been a busy and exciting few months since our first residents moved in last year and with engagement just finished around our plans for the first District Centre for the new community - including shops, cafe, gym,  community and health centre – there are lots of exciting things to come within Wintringham.”

With an active Resident Association and a range of events and activities planned throughout the year, there are lots of opportunities for the community to meet up and enjoy Wintringham with friends, family and neighbours.
